About Dr Ross Kennedy

Dr Kennedy is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years’ experience of specialist practice.

Dr Kennedy has worked in public as well as private practice since 1995. He is currently a senior visiting orthopaedic surgeon at Queen Elizabeth II Public Hospital. His private practice is based at Greenslopes Private Hospital (Greenslopes Specialist Centre) and he visits Sunnybank Private Hospital and Mater Private Hospital Redlands. He is involved in the teaching of orthopaedic surgeons in training as well as medical students.

Previously he worked at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Hospital in Exeter, UK, a centre of excellence in joint replacement surgery, and the Royal Darwin Hospital, Darwin, NT.

Born and educated in Melbourne, he was awarded his medical degree and postgraduate degree of Master of Surgery from the University of Melbourne. He completed specialist training in orthopaedic surgery and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 1994.

Dr Kennedy focuses on the management of hip and knee pain in adults caused by arthritis and other conditions or injuries. He performs total hip replacement surgery, total knee replacement surgery, arthroscopy of the knee and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery. He has been treating patients in Brisbane since 2000 and provides highly personalised attention and detailed advice on all surgical procedures as well as non-surgical treatment options.
