About Dr Ross Kennedy

Dr Kennedy is an orthopaedic surgeon with twenty-three years’ experience of specialist practice, the last seventeen of that in Brisbane.

Born and educated in Melbourne, he underwent medical education at the University of Melbourne, including completion of the post graduate degree of Master of Surgery. He completed specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery, and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and of the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 1994.

Dr Kennedy worked at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Hospital in Exeter, England, a centre of excellence in Joint Replacement surgery, as well as a period working in Darwin, NT, before commencing practice in Brisbane in 2000.

Dr Kennedy has worked in public as well as private practice since 1995. He is currently a senior visiting orthopaedic surgeon at Queen Elizabeth II public hospital, as well as conducting private practice based at Greenslopes Private Hospital (Greenslopes Specialist Centre),as well as visiting Sunnybank Private hospital and Mater Private Hospital Redlands. He is involved in the teaching of Orthopaedic Surgeons in training, as well as medical students.

Dr Kennedy’s practice concentrates on the treatment of adult knee and hip conditions.
After thoroughly assessing the nature of the problem he offers advice about the treatment options available, and, if surgery is requested, can offer a variety of surgical procedures.
